TMT FOUNDATION

The Media Tacticians Foundation is a registered nonprofit company (Registration number 2019 / 052312 / 08) that is heavily focused on empowering the South African youth through its Media education program.

The Foundation is also invested in ensuring black owned media sales businesses lacking funds and resources are given the skills and necessary support for them to be financially profitable, through our BMW program (Black Media Workshops).

The Foundation’s key media educational program exposes grades 8-12 to the Media Industry beyond the obvious careers that they will be familiar with like acting, presenting, news reporting etc. The media industry is a multibillion rand industry and there are a number of careers within the industry that are less known to those students with less exposure and resources, such as Media Sales, one of the highest paying career options within the media industry.

Media Sales, remains a career that one cannot yet go get higher learning qualification in specifically. It is still one of those careers where you get your experience on the job, if you are lucky to come across it, or know about its existence. At Media Tacticians Foundation, we ensure that learners from areas such as Phuthaditjhaba Qwa Qwa are made aware of the many career options available to them, as well as give them first hand exposure and experience in varied media fields such as Media Sales, Media Strategy, Media Buying, Digital Media, Media Production etc.

Over time, we plan to launch an online portal where learners can register, and have a platform to ask media industry-related questions and we get various experts to answer these, ensuring consistent access to information.

“You don’t know what you don’t know. I stumbled across media sales earlier in my career whilst trying to work for an advertising agency. Little did I know that I was entering a career that is one of the country’s best-paying industries that catapulted me into my very own media company that generates millions of rands every year. It started with something as simple as exposure”

– Msizi Mazibuko, The Media Tacticians CEO.
